Nufern Introduces Specialty Multimode Fiber Capabilities - Acrylate, Polyimide and Silicone Coatings

SAN JOSE, California - January 28, 2003 - Nufern Introduces Specialty Multimode Fiber Capabilities - Acrylate, Polyimide and Silicone Coatings. Nufern, the largest independent manufacturer of application-specific optical fiber, introduces specialty multimode fiber capabilities for military, aerospace, and industrial applications. Designed for high performance in extreme temperatures and harsh environments, Nufern’s Specialty Multimode fibers are offered in step-index and graded-index configurations. Numerical apertures range from 0.06 to 0.45, with core sizes from 20 µm to 700 µm. These fibers are available with acrylate, polyimide and silicone coatings, with and without upbuffers. Radiation resistant versions of Nufern Specialty Multimode fibers are available on request.
