Fiber Laser Advantages Achieved Easily with Nufern’s High-Quality Modules

EAST GRANBY, Conn., Jan. 24, 2005 — Nufern, a leading manufacturer of fiber laser and amplifier modules and specialty optical fibers, has unveiled a new product line of CW (continuous wave) fiber laser modules.  These modules are designed as highly reliable, robust sources that can be readily integrated into OEM laser applications for industrial and manufacturing environments.  All modules contain Nufern’s proprietary and proven high-power optical fibers.

The new line of standard fiber laser modules covers three power ranges with ~1 micron output:

• 2 – 15 Watts
• 15 – 25 Watts
• 25 – 50 Watts.

Built with a compact, monolithic fiber design, Nufern’s modules are virtually maintenance-free and eliminate the need for optical or mechanical re-alignment, and yet they still provide near-perfect diffraction-limited beam quality.  These modules are provided with any standard or custom-designed pump coupler or connector.
