Nufern Introduces High-Power Fiber laser modules Enabling Manufacturers to Bring Fiber Lasers to Market - Fiber laser modules with Nufern Double-Clad Fibers Ease Transition

EAST GRANBY, CT, Jan. 26, 2004 - Nufern, a leading independent manufacturer of fiber laser fiber laser modules and specialty optical fibers, announced today it has begun shipping high-power fiber laser fiber laser modules designed around Nufern’s industry-leading large mode area (LMA) fibers. The all fiber fiber laser modules utilize Nufern’s 20/400 LMA fiber which, in conjunction with optimized fiber Bragg gratings and high power pump combiner components made from Nufern’s passive double-clad (DC) fibers, ensure compatibility throughout the entire fiber laser module, essential for highly reliable, long-lifetime, high-power operation.

Following the successful commercial launch of Nufern’s LMA/DC fibers at Photonics West last year, Nufern worked with key component suppliers, such as high power pumps and signal multiplexers, to develop a family of DC components compatible with Nufern record-setting active fibers.
