Nufern today sponsored a webcast titled "Fiber Lasers for Cutting," presented by independent consultant Stuart Woods.

The webcast was broadcast live at 2:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time on March 14, 2007. A recorded version is available for viewing at any time from a web-based archive.

The webcast was hosted jointly by two PennWell magazines, Laser Focus World and Industrial Laser Solutions.

In the webcast, fiber laser expert Woods provides a review of fiber lasers for cutting. Steel to tungsten, thin to thick—Woods discusses the technical issues and market drivers of cutting with fiber lasers. From a summary of the cutting process—including the fiber laser's limiting factor of kerf width—to a look at the market total particular to the cutting sector, this review is intended for both the technical minded and the marketing handed.
